Cerberus' hound is a mythical monster in Greek legends. Its portrayal often shows it as a multi-headed canine protecting the gates of Hades. According to some legends, Cancerbero has three heads, while in others it can have as many as nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a watchful and unyielding sentinel.
